im handicap, how do i put myself out there when it comes to dating women?
Im 26, ive gone on dates before but ve never had a relationship before. ive asked out several girl in college but they all rejected me and ingnored me. a couple told me they couldn't date me bc i was handicap even though they had said i was funny and handsome.
i was in a car accident when i was 2. i can walk although i cant run and play sports. i get around in a electric scooter for when i need to walk long distances.... i went on to graduate college i live on my own and have my own place. i work and im indepedent yet i seem to get girls to look past my handicap.
how do i get past this and maybe get a girl to do the same
First of all - don't brood on it. If you are funny (not making fun of yourself I hope) and handsome. Just think of some of the young men coming back from wars. Yes, you sure can find love and you must look past the girls you have met in the past. Sounds like it may take a woman to know what she wants in her life. Well maybe the're not around every corner, but they are there. It's you who has to get past his phase of your life and do your best with your ongoing therapy. Sometimes I wished that my husband couldn't run and play sports so that I could see more of him while I was taking care of the children. Guess what, he found a jogger 10 years younger than me and long story short - I raised the children on my own & he is still married to the jogger (she still jogs & he can't and it tortures him to think what she's up to now). I have a cousin who is paraplegic - polio - in this day & age she was 8 yrs old then & in an Iron Lung), super person, own TV show, who was engaged to a great guy who simply adored her from the day they met. What a treat, Northern Ontario, she got out of the plane via the mail shute. He was working on the fibre optics line via the Atlantic to Europe - brilliant guy - got bad headaches turned out to be brain cancer and he couldn't be saved. We were with him but eventually the pain centres/nerves were quite dead and no pain at all, then he watched her with great love and she remembers to this day. On he other hand you may well be just as lucky when someone finds you with great love to give & share. huge bonus here, you have humour, but handsome? well beauty is is the eye of the beholder. You can have a wife & family & children if you want to, even adopt your children if you wait too long to produce your own what a lovely thing - regardless of what anyone says, once you adopt they are yours forever & ever.
